Ciao! My classes are for everyone who wishes to learn or improve Italian. You can either be an absolute beginner or someone who just wants to practice conversational skills; I will tailor my class to your needs.

In my classes we will practice conversation, learn grammar, and focus on different aspects of the language according to your needs. We will use a main textbook, but also a variety of other sources including songs, ads, recipes, videos, etc. The aim is to get you hooked to my beautiful mother tongue and help you become fluent in it!

Italian is my mother tongue. I was born in Tuscany and lived in Italy until I was 24, though since then I have lived in several different places abroad, including Athens (for the past four years).
I have quite a lot of experience teaching, since I hold a PhD degree in art history and have taught university classes in this subject for some years, so I know how to interact with students.
Besides, I love languages and I have gone through the process of learning several in my life, including Greek. I find languages fascinating because they are a portal into different cultures, and I enjoy studying them as much as teaching them.
In the past, I used to give private Italian lessons to foreigners living in Milan, and recently I started doing this again here in Athens. Last year (2021) I also completed a CEDILS course about methods for teaching Italian to foreigners (2021) in order to stay up to date with the methodologies for teaching languages.
