A personalized learning experience with a dedicated teacher

I am a Phd graduate in sociology and political sciences which I have taught in French universities for 5 years. In 2020, I moved to Greece and started teaching French in private lessons and at the French Institute. I teach adults at all levels, from beginners to more advanced learners. I offer one-to-one lessons (grammar and conversation) but you can also join my group conversation classes (3 to 5 students of the same level).

Through my ten years’ experience as a teacher, I developed a unique method based on an understanding and dynamic approach. Together, we will identify your goals, your strengths and difficulties, to create a personalized learning program. I will help you integrate French in your daily life with songs, movies or articles based on your personal tastes and provide you with the real idiomatic expressions used by French natives.

The program of beginner (level A) consists of 25 lessons of 50 minutes while the intermediate courses is divided in two half levels of 24 lessons (level B1 and B2). Each of these levels can be carried out in intensive version (6 weeks/4 hours per week) and semi-intensive (12 weeks/2 hours per week) or follow the student's own pace. After each lesson, I send a document summarizing the grammar and vocabulary points studied in class with exercises to do at home. We will do regular revision points to verify the acquisition of the notions seen in class.

The program of advanced courses (C1 and C2) is mainly conversational: the aim is to correct remaining grammar mistakes and to extend the vocabulary of the student through personalized lessons on themes that fit her/his interests and personal tastes.

I can also help you succeed in your university exams, or train you to take the Delf or the Dalf certification.

I have taught more than 800 hours of private classes to students with different profiles: from people who wanted to learn French as a leisure to people who were about to pass exams for immigration, university or to enter the diplomatic corps in Greece and in the USA.

My method has proven to be really efficient. The program I created for the grammar and conjugation follows a logic that makes it easy to remember and progress. I also developed a unique way to teach pronunciation that worked with all of my students, even the ones that were struggling for years with French sounds. I work on vocabulary through themes that run over a series of lessons and are always applied in conversations, even the smallest ones at the very beginning. Depending on your goals, I also adapt the vocabulary program and I create material specific to your interests and tastes (from international diplomacy to medieval fantasy, sports to movies, new technologies to animals and plants).

I also pay a lot of attention to your personal needs and to the atmosphere of the class. I aim to built a comprehensive, safe and fun learning environment for everyone.
