I am a highly skilled English language teacher with a Canadian educational background and Greek heritage. I am proficient in delivering top-quality English classes tailored for various purposes. As a standardized Speaking examiner for all Cambridge exam suites and an inactive Speaking & Writing examiner for IELTS, I offer comprehensive preparation for these exams. Additionally, I provide academic English instruction for pre-sessional/foundation courses, general English, business English, CELTA assistance, and TKT courses. My teaching expertise is geared towards ensuring success in all areas. I am proud to teach at the British Council in Athens, Kolonaki.

Throughout my career, I have honed my expertise in teaching English as a foreign language and held leadership roles as Director of Studies for various language teaching organizations (LTOs) worldwide. With a robust academic background, including a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Liverpool, a Cambridge CELTA, and Delta Module 2, I am currently pursuing the completion of Module 1 & 3 to secure the prestigious Cambridge ESOL Delta qualification. This comprehensive training has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to effectively guide students toward achieving their academic goals.

My teaching experience spans across several universities, where I have adeptly delivered pre-sessional and in-sessional courses, specializing in English for Academic Purposes and Higher Education. As an accomplished educator, I possess a keen understanding of assessment techniques for writing and speaking skills, enabling me to provide impactful feedback and identify areas for improvement.

Over the years, I have successfully managed and delivered course modules, co-taught course units, and implemented diverse teaching methodologies to create an engaging and stimulating learning environment. Furthermore, my proficiency in evaluating written work, presentations, projects, and exams, and providing tailored feedback through individual tutorials and classes has significantly contributed to student development.

Having worked with international students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds in countries such as Greece, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom, China, East Timor, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Malta I have adeptly adapted my teaching style to meet the needs of a varied student population.

Innovative and strategic lesson planning remains a hallmark of my teaching approach, as I meticulously orchestrate monthly and weekly plans, along with supplementary materials, to address student needs effectively and ensure a dynamic educational experience. My commitment to personal and professional development is evidenced by my active participation in webinars held by esteemed organizations such as Cambridge and the British Council, as well as my current pursuit of a Master's degree in TESOL.
